The art of the gods

God I love statues! Of all the monuments, castles, cathedrals, etc. that we snapped on our trip to Europe in May last, this is my favourite image. Or maybe this.

Step away from the estrogen

There is no way this blog is written by a woman. My guess is he’s either divorced, and paying through the nose for the privilege, or never married, shacking up in his mother’s basement, and living vicariously through the tabloids. Those who know me would say I can get pretty worked up about a lot of things. But I can’t imagine ever being this mad about anything.

Now this . . .

Maybe this was some kind of morale building exercise, to take the FBI’s mind off the fact that it couldn’t beat the skin off a rice pudding in the so-called “war on terror.” It’s been 30-odd years since Hoffa was whacked by the mob. Time to move on.

Despicable

Do these nutters really believe that a team of Zionists travelled around Europe, in the ashes of WWII, to build concentration camps and pose emaciated models in striped pajamas? Or are they just sick, perverted bastards, who want the world to join them in pretending the Holocaust didn’t happen? In the same way as we’re pretending the genocide in Darfur is not happening right now? I can’t even begin to comprehend the idea of Iran as “the home for all freedom seekers of the world.” It is to weep.

This is so sad. Tall Ship Chronicles, on the Life Network, is the only TV reality show I’ve ever watched (honest!) It was a terrific show, never missed an episode. So we were quite excited when we got this shot, as we were sailing on Lake Ontario last August.

A new messiah?

The hype over Barack Obama continues apace. I wonder how long it will take for the media to start raking for muck? Will it be Hillary/Obama or Obama/Hillary in 2008? Sounds like a winning combination either way to me.

Yuletide frenzy

Went to a local shopping plaza to pick up some light bulbs and Dubonnet, told the First Husband I’d be back in a jiff. Fell in the garage door, several hours later, nerves in flitters. It’s a fracking jungle out there! One would think Christmas Day was tomorrow, the way people were shopping. Have I missed something? Is the liquor store about to close its doors until the New Year? People should get themselves lives!

Where am I?
