I love reading Christopher Hitchens’ diatribes, especially when he goes off on one of his pet hates. Like his evisceration of George Galloway, who is a scumbag of the finest water. I disagree profoundly with almost everything Hitchens has penned in support of George and Rummy’s excellent adventure in Iraq, but I think this is one of the finest pieces he has ever written. It captures exactly the revulsion I felt, when reading about Saddam Hussein’s shambolic execution and its inevitable aftermath.
