His claim to fame on this side of the pond would be his association with Hugh Laurie, of House. They were room-mates at university and later appeared in a BBC series, Fry and Laurie, as well as Jeeves & Wooster and Blackadder. These days, he plays a cameo role in “Bones” as Booth’s psychotherapist. In fact, according to his Tweets on Twitter—where he has gained new fame as the proud possessor of more than 100,000 followers—he is currently in LA, filming a new episode or episodes of Bones. He is also a gifted writer of fiction and essays, a brilliant blogger (see my blogroll), an occasional serious actor, and fronts numerous documentaries, including “Stephen Fry in America” which is on television here in Ontario right now. In his “spare” time, he writes a column for a newspaper, The Guardian, on general geekery around new computers, smartphones, etc. In fact, he’s an all-round smart-alec and a bit of a pain in the arse to the rest of us normal folks!
Gawd, I just adore Stephen Fry, great clip!!

Me too! I wish we could get QI here but, since we can’t, there is always YouTube, bless it.
I don’t know Stephen Fry but I enjoyed this clip.

He is undoubtedly very, very clever — and quite funny — but he is also terribly self indulgent and self absorbed.
I think he’s bloody brilliant and could listen to all of them all day. And this program, not available in Canada or wot?
